Bethany alumni published in Pentecostal dictionary

Scotts Valley, CA–The new International Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements (Zondervan, 2002) is a 1278-page, 1000-entry compilation that comprehensively covers Pentecostal movements around the world. A revision of the 1989 Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements that was restricted to the United States and Canada, the new International Dictionary includes entries on Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific area.

Among the 133 scholars who contributed to the reference work are many well-known writers on Pentecostalism including Walter Hollenweger, Edith Blumhofer, Grant Wacker, Vincent Synan, Donald Dayton, David Barrett, and C. Peter Wagner. In addition, many Assemblies of God scholars from Stanley Horton and Russ Spittler to Jesse Miranda and Gary McGee contributed. Also contributing to this work were six Bethany College alumni including missionary to Japan David Hymes, Bethany Old Testament professor Tim Powell, former Bethany history professor Dwight Wilson, Fuller Seminary professor Mel Robeck, former VP for Academics at Vanguard University, Lewis Wilson, and Bethany president, Everett A. Wilson.

Bethany College is one of 20 endorsed colleges of the Assemblies of God.
