Seminarians' Seminar

The Executive Presbytery and The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education sponsor biennially a two-week conference for Assemblies of God students attending non-AG seminaries. The purpose of the seminar is to give seminarians the chance to take two, three-semester-credit-hour courses taught by Pentecostal faculty that may not be available to them in a non-AG seminary. This event also encourages them to continue to be a part of the Assemblies of God upon their graduation.

Students receive complimentary academic provisions upon attending:

This unique opportunity not only allows students to gather with other Assemblies of God seminarians but also to attend a weekend leadership retreat with the executive officers of our Fellowship.

2013

From July 7 - 20, twenty-two seminarians will travel into Springfield for influential sessions with some of the most knowledgeable professors in the Pentecostal realm. The courses are prepared and books have been ordered to accommodate our fellow learners as they get a taste of the Assemblies of God doctrine and belief system. We're ready for you!

2011

The Seventh Assemblies of God Seminarians' Seminar was held from July 10 – 22, 2011, at AGTS. Twenty-nine seminarians enrolled in non-AG seminaries from across the country attended the two-week seminar. Just a few of the seminaries represented were Vanderbilt School of Divinity, Fuller Theological Seminary, Asbury Theological Seminary, Regent University, and Regent University.

While the opportunity to meet with other seminarians benefitted everyone in attendance, the impact of learning from Assemblies of God professors was also powerful. In addition to the course instruction, the dialogue with colleagues, and the weekend retreat with the executives, seminarians were also given opportunities to meet with representatives of several different ministry departments of the Assemblies of God.
