Evangel University (AG), Springfield, Missouri, has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year as one of the “Best Christian Places to Work in the United States.” Survey results published in Christianity Today International’s online magazine. Thirty-three businesses and institutions were certified this year, including just six in the Higher Education category. The U.S. finalists for 2008 were announced at the Christian Management Association’s conference in Dallas on April 23. The results of the annual survey were also published in Christianity Today International’s online magazine. “Our research indicates leaders in these organizations demonstrate high levels of character, competence and compassion, while employees show high levels of commitment,” said Al Lopus, president the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). “Certification also identifies organizations as good investments for donors and volunteers,” he said. BCWI is a research based organizational and human resources consulting firm based on Mercer Island, Washington. During six years of experience surveying more than 60,000 employees in more than 400 organizations in the U.S., BCWI has identified what it takes for a Christian organization to be effective.
