The Distance Education Training Council (DETC) officially confirmed approval of the accreditation of Global University’s Graduate School of Theology’s Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) program. This confirmation, extended on Thursday, February 13, 2014, by the Commission of the DETC, officially recognizes the D.Min program through the Council.
The Doctor of Ministry program was initiated into Global University’s expansive educational offerings in October of 2012. DETC administrators conducted an extensive site visit to Global University’s international office in August of 2013 to review all course material, academic structure, pricing and other items related to the D.Min program. These leaders then submitted their site visit findings to the Commission, which looked favorably upon them. The D.Min program is now officially accredited both regionally through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and nationally through DETC.
“The Doctor of Ministry program offered through our Graduate School of Theology is an academically robust and rigorous program that promises to educate and enrich the lives of those students who choose to earn their doctorate through Global University. The official accreditation of this program offered to us by the DETC confirms the high level of quality and consistency that we strive to offer each of our students.” reflects Dr. Jack Nill, Provost.
