Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) will dedicate the John and Diana Hagee Communication Center (HCC) on Wednesday, December 11.
President Kermit Bridges commented, "John Hagee's impact on the church of Jesus Christ in the 21st century is huge. The campus family is proud of the fact he is an alumnus of this institution. We have been blessed by his willingness to invest time and energy speaking into the lives of our students.”
Dr. George O. Wood, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, will speak on Wednesday, December 11, at 10:15 a.m. in the HCC Auditorium. The formal dedication and ribbon cutting will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by an open house. Chapel and the formal dedication are open to the public.
Dr. John Hagee is a 5th generation preacher and the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. Hagee and his wife Diana pledged $2.5 million last fall to help SAGU reach the $21 million needed for SAGU's most expensive project in university history.
During Homecoming, alumni and friends received an all-access tour of the new Hagee Communication Center that opened for classes this fall. The HCC houses a performing arts auditorium, classrooms, rehearsal halls, film screening/preaching and speech labs, black-box theater, TV/film and audio studios, digital editing labs, music practice rooms, Einstein's Bro Bagels and much more. At 80,000 sq. ft., it is the second-largest building on campus.
