Evangel University senior Kayla Jordan has published an article in the fall 2013 issue of the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research. The article is titled “Social Networking, Religious Similarity, and Moral Reasoning: Potential Causes of Revolution.”
“For Kayla to be published in the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research is an incredible honor. Only five student articles met the criteria for the current issue,” said Dr. Geoffrey Sutton, professor of psychology. “The quality of work at this level is at a very high standard.”
Psi Chi is the international honor society for psychology, with more than 1,100 chapters in the U.S. and abroad. Founded in 1929, Psi Chi is open to both undergraduate and graduate psychology students who meet the high standards for membership.
The scholarly journal publishes four issues each year. All articles are subject to careful review by select psychological scientists.
“Although a few undergraduates have co-authored articles with Evangel University faculty in the past decade, Kayla Jordan is the only student to publish in the Psi Chi Journal,” Sutton said.
“I am particularly proud of her work because she completed the study as a junior, which allowed her to continue her research interests during her senior year when students normally complete their first research project.”
