Nationally known speaker and best-selling author William J. Federer will speak at Evangel University on Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m., as part of The Holsinger Forum Fund Lecture Series.
There is no charge for the event, and the public is invited to attend. The lecture will be held in Trask Hall, Room 101.
Federer is president of Amerisearch, Inc., a publishing company dedicated to researching America’s heritage. He also hosts a daily radio feature, American Minute, that is broadcast across the country and on the Internet.
Federer will discuss the book Miracles in American History, written by his wife, Susie Federer, and adapted from his American Minute messages. Some points of interest from the book include the following:

The public is welcome to attend these classes as well as the evening lecture.
“We are thrilled to have Bill Federer back on the Evangel campus to share in the evening lecture regarding his book, Miracles in American History,” said Bryan Sanders, chair of the social sciences department and organizer of the event. “This is information that the general public rarely gets to hear. We are pleased to have him speak in classes as well. This is a special opportunity for our students.”
Federer’s book, America’s God and Country; Encyclopedia of Quotations, has sold more than a half-million copies. His works have been quoted in court cases and by authors, politicians, leaders and students.
Additional books written by Federer include the following titles: Prayers & Presidents, Inspiring Faith from Leaders of the Past; The Faith of FDR, From President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Public Papers 1933-1945; The Interesting History of Income Tax; The Original 13, A Documentary History of Religion in America’s First Thirteen States; and The Ten Commandments & Their Influence on American Law, a Study in History.
Resources for this program are provided by the Holsinger Forum Fund, an endowment established by community and alumni friends at the time of Professor J.C. Holsinger’s retirement from Evangel University. The fund was established to honor his years of service to college and community.
The purpose of the fund is to support programs that enlarge the academic experience of students.
