Rev. Steve Handy has been selected as the new dean of Global University’s Berean School of the Bible, official as of Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Handy previously served as the Department Chairman for Berean and as a Berean and Undergraduate faculty member. Handy is preceded in the dean position by Dr. Randy Hedlun, who served in this role from 2007 through 2013.
“It has been personally fulfilling and a distinct honor to serve God and Global University as the Dean of Berean School of the Bible for more than six years. I am excited about the wealth of experience, knowledge, and ministry passion that Rev. Steve Handy brings to this role as he assumes his responsibilities as Berean’s dean for Global University,” reflects Dr. Randy Hedlun.
Berean School of the Bible offers ministry training designed to prepare students to fill a church leadership role and to help fulfill the call of God on their lives. Berean School of the Bible has pioneered distance education for Assemblies of God ministerial credentials since 1948 and has trained Assemblies of God ministers for over six decades. Over 1,500 Berean School of the Bible study groups across America have brought ministerial training to their local communities.
