The East Africa School of Theology (EAST) has served students of Global University in the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Recently, these three countries have decided to move from EAST to create their own individual graduate studies schools. Miki Ausbury, applications enrollment coordinator for Global’s Graduate School, conducted extensive training for these new school directors, which included the processing of applications to each of these schools. Jackie Preece, clerical assistant for the Graduate School, assisted Miki by videotaping these training sessions so that they may be used to train future directors of graduate studies schools.
Jackie relates, “It was wonderful to meet these new school directors who are already doing things for God. It was also great to meet the students - many of whom currently serve as pastors who desire to further their education. With this training, the new graduate studies schools in Tanzania and Ethiopia, along with the current school in Kenya, are ready to begin educating the future Christian leaders in these countries. It was humbling to be a part of God’s work.”
