Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) students, faculty and staff raised $15,487.28 for SAGU alumni and staff members Jeremiah and Bethany Feicht's church plant in Jackson Hole, Wyo.
The SAGU Southwestern Mission Association (SMA) selects a giving project each semester. This semester SMA asked each student to decide on a personal amount to pledge. By Feb. 14, 2013, the student body pledged to raise $14,885. SAGU exceeded its goal by more than $500.
During chapel on Wednesday, April 24, SAGU President Kermit Bridges pledged to match the service's offering up to $1,000. The offering total was $1,030. The Church Mulitplication Network (CMN) has pledged to match up to $30,000 of the total amount raised by SAGU. With the matches by President Bridges and the CMN, a total of $31,974.56 will go to the Feichts and the church plant.
The Feichts plan on relocating to Jackson Hole during Summer 2013. SAGU alumnus Jonathan Rumfield and alumna Autumn Rumfield will be joining the Feichts in Jackson Hole as team members.
