Freedom High School’s Christian Maldonado became the first signee for Head Coach Keith Barefield and the Southeastern University football program when he signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday in the Sportsplex at Southeastern.
Maldonado is a 6-foot-1-inch, 205 pound strong safety/outside linebacker from Orlando, Fla. Maldonado is an early enrollee at Southeastern and plans on majoring in business administration.
Christian’s signing on Wednesday morning marks the first of many expected signings on national signing day for the newly created Southeastern football program.
