Southeastern University launched a new virtual campus tour on June 12, completing a months-long project that is expected to boost the school’s recruitment efforts.
The campus of Southeastern University has been a tremendous draw for prospective students and their families for the past few years, and the SEU community is always excited to share it with visitors when they come to Lakeland, Florida. Now, those same visitors will have the chance to experience Southeastern from home through a comprehensive tour of the campus that has undergone extensive renovation and expansion over the past 10 years.
“This has been an exciting project to work on, and we are very satisfied with the result,” said Ed Maner, SEU’s director of enrollment marketing. “For a school like Southeastern, which has a beautiful campus in a great location, a virtual tour is a tremendous resource for students and their families.”
The university’s Enrollment Marketing team spent the past several months developing the virtual tour with YouVisit.com, which has also worked on tours for schools such as Yale, Syracuse and Mississippi State. The project includes a guided walking tour with SEU students as the tour guides, more than 30 panoramic 360-degree photos of campus, videos, and many more features that showcase the community of Southeastern. It is available through the university’s website and will soon be available on its Facebook page and a new mobile app.
“The potential of this tour as a way to help our university grow is off the charts,” Maner said. “We are all proud of our campus, and the tour will expose even more people to the special community we have a Southeastern.”
